The Clock Tower is situated in St Mark's Square. The Clock Tower was built by Mauro Coduci between 1496-1499. At the very top of the tower are two bronze figures of Moors holding hammers, preparing to strike the bell indicating the time of day. Above the clock face one can see the lion of St Mark against a backdrop of blue with gold stars. You will never be without time when you are on St Mark's Square.
