The Hotel Absolut is a white-painted building with a contemporary interior set in Holesovice in Prague 7, less than three kilometres from Prague's centre. The 23 guestrooms are decorated in earthy tones of brown and red, with exposed brick walls and angular modern furniture. Both double rooms and apartment rooms which sleep three are available; all have direct-dial phones, minibars, cable television with pay movies and complimentary high-speed Internet connections.
The Salut Restaurant, open daily for lunch and dinner, serves modern dishes and a selection of Czech dishes. The dining-room is chic, with leather banquettes, and the wine list features Moravian vintages. A rail service runs from the airport to directly outside the ho
tel building (regular fast services). Prague's compact historic
centre is best explored on foot. Cheap public transportation i
s available in the shape of metro, bus, tram or the funicular r
ailway. Tickets, directions, schedules and multilingual public
transport system maps are available at information offices loca
ted in five major metro stations. Tickets can be used interchan
geably on all forms of transport. The nearest metro stop to the
hotel is Holesovice. Closer still are tram stops numbers 5, 12
, 14 and 15.
