Budapest Sights, Sounds and Hotels

Statue park provides one with some insight into Budapest’s only recently past Iron Curtain era. Also known as 'Tons of Socialism' because statues and memorials that once populated the communistic streets and squares of the city are now accrued in this outdoor presentation half an hour from the city. These statues, including huge images of Lenin and Marx, were removed when the politics of the city was altered in 1989. For those longing Socialist type, there are souvenirs on sale and verbose music from Russian and Hungarian worker's movements is played to further exaggerate the heavy atmosphere.

Budapest's Statue Park emits a feeling of anxiety that can only partly reflect what the mood of Budapest must have been like during communist reighn. Now things have changed and the outstanding Budapest hotels will welcome you with open arms.
